Lipscomb's Learning Center Staff
We realize that our staff is the most valuable component of our center. The quality of our program is directly related to the quality of our staff. We strive to provide a working environment that provides cooperation and support for all staff.
We require all of our lead teachers to either have a NC Early Childhood Credential or its equivalent, or to be enrolled in the appropriate coursework within the first six months of employment. We also require that they obtain annual additional training with the hope that all employees will eventually complete their degrees. We require all teacher aides to be at least 16 years old and to be enrolled in the Child Care Services Occupational Home Economics Program at their high school, or to be enrolled in the NC Early Childhood Credential coursework.
All staff have a health physical completed, a criminal background check, and a reference check and are fingerprinted prior to employment.
Along with the required education and paperwork, our top priority is to make sure our staff are loving, energetic people. We want to be sure they enjoy the time they will be devoting to your children every day.
